Diva Tip of the week: embrace interruption!

Hey all!

I have just had my mom in law come visit on Friday. Was her visit planned? Nope. Did I have other plans for the week? Yep.

How can you handle "interruptions" in your schedule, your plan?

Firstly, admit that you feel that your plans have been interrupted...dont act like they haven't.  You are only being honest when you do!

Secondly, if you already have lesson plans written down, you have set yourself ahead of the game already.  (Make sure you do your LPs in pencil...that helps to adjust to life happening! haha)  Use that pencil to move things over, or save some things for next week. That is part of the beauty of homeschooling, for sure.

Learn how to build in flex room... EVERY homeschooling parent needs it!

Thirdly, ask God for help with your attitude so that you can make the adjustment.  It isnt easy sometimes, but the "interruption" is most oftentimes a blessing for you.  I havent had to cook for 4 days now, and I have another adult to chat with in the house...yaayyy me! :)

May your plans be interrupted (and blessed!) from time to time,

BellaDee
