Thursday Thought: use what is in your hand to do!

Have you ever felt like what you have just isn't enough to educate your kids? You know what I am talking about - not enough education yourself, not enough time, not enough resources and curriculum - the list could go on and on. Those thoughts could be enough to try and derail your momentum in your homeschool. And guess what? Those thoughts aren't what God thinks!

No, the Lord has equipped you for the task. You don't always need the newest or the next best thing to succeed...we need to hear wisdom from His heart for our specific homeschool. He knows you AND your kids, and He knows how they learn. He knows how you teach. And He has creativity to give you to match the styles up really well!

Moses asked the [Lord], “Suppose everyone refuses to listen to my message, and no one believes that you really appeared to me?”
The [Lord] answered, “What's that in your hand?”
“A walking stick,” Moses replied. (EXODUS 4:1, 2 CEV)

God asked Moses to check
out what was in his hand after Moses told God what he wasn't able to do. Moses gave God his deficiencies, and God showed Moses what He could do with little.

You may have little financial resources at the moment, maybe your energy is little. Refuse to be discouraged about that. Dont think you meed to buy more homeschooling stuff. Step back, wait in His presence, and...listen. You might be surprised at what your hear Him say.

Give it to Him, and watch how God can use what you already have to educate your kids!
